My name is Karlien, I’m 30 years old, I live in Amsterdam and I’m a freelance HR manager.

You could state that I’m a travel enthusiast. I just simply love the sun. Whenever I can, I’ll travel to warm and culturally vibrant places and I try to skip the Dutch winters as much as possible.

Whenever I visit a place  I always make sure I have the best restaurants, sightseeing places, bars, cafés and beach clubs sorted out. Because if there’s something I like even more than traveling, it’s eating! I enjoy discovering a place through it’s cuisine. Whenever I find a hidden, small, family-owned restaurant serving the best food in town, I become the happiest person alive :). 

I also really enjoy being in nature. Diving, going on small hikes, visiting remote beaches whilst watching the sunset with a beer in my hand… All of these things make my life super fulfilling and I hope to keep doing it in many different places in the future!
